“The ethical task of the researcher is to challenge enforced Narrative. The Narrative already has power, and does not need you to push casuistry to support it. You walk up on 5 bullies abusing a weaker kid in a schoolyard. Do you 1) step in on behalf of the kid, or 2) join in with the bullies and laugh/abuse? A legitimate researcher defends the ground of sound ideas, even if they challenge Bully Narratives. That is the ethical role of deductive research. We falsify, not prove nulls. To defend the Narrative by means of plausible induction, is the same thing as becoming just one of the bullies. A dime-a-dozen.”

A true researcher is defined by the critical path of probative questions they ask, not by the club that rubber-stamps their answers.
